ROADHOUSE (NEARLY SUNSET)
The place was full with hunters; in particular Sam and Dean were there, sitting at the bar on stools, in silence with rock music filling the air until the door opened with a BANG.
All the hunters turned, as instinct, to see a dark-haired 7 year old boy, dressed in a red top, a black leather jacket that screamed ‘attitude’, which was accompanied by dark blue jeans.
The boy turned to look behind his shoulder and ran in.
Dean and Sam looked at each other thinking that the boy as in trouble, but were confused when the other hunters just continued relaxing.
“JESSE, YOU’RE DEAD. GET BACK HERE,” a voice screamed in the distant.
“Crap,” the boy, ‘Jesse’, whispered and climbed over the bar.
Still everyone acted normal but when Sam and Dean heard running footsteps they stood up, ready to attack in time to see a dark-haired, 23 years old woman run in with a ‘bang’ of the door but still people glanced at her then turned back round.
She was dressed in the same as the boy but had a black top on with leather knee-length boots. The woman didn’t stop but continued to run but she didn’t notice the wet patch on the floor.
She went down with a ‘woo’, closing her eyes and readying herself for the fall but it never came. She opened her eyes slowly to find them staring into blue eyes. Sam had reacted when she saw the woman fall right next her and he quickly held out his hands.
When Dawn stood up she was standing in front of two hunters she had never seen before, one dark-blonde with green eyes, the other had blue eyes and dark-brown hair. She felt the eyes of the bar on her as she felt a blush creeping up her neck.
“Well, that was an embarrassing entrance, I normally do not do that. Well not much, ok fine I do it a lot but, it’s always embarrassing in front on new people. I always think that I have got over the falling, but then it just creeps on me. And I am babbling, sorry,” Dawn said without a breath and a blush now on her cheeks.
She heard laughing behind her and she turned around to tell the customers,
“Oh shut up.”
This only caused more laughter, especially when she stuck her tongue out.
She turned round and stuck out her hand to the Winchester boys who just looked at it, uncertain about what to do. Dawn tried hard not to roll her eyes.
“It’s a hand, you shake it,” Dawn said, making the boys more shocked before slowly releasing a smirk, followed by a smothered laugh from behind the bar. Even though it was quiet Dawn’s eyes flicked to it.
“I’ll be back, oh my god, that was so ‘Terminator’,” Dawn said walking round the bar, where a voice whispered,
“Jesse get up here, NOW!” Dawn said, and a minute later Jesse got up slowly, almost reluctantly.
Ellen chose that moment to come in from the back.
“Hey boys, so I heard yelling, running and laughter and thought that must the Summers family,” Ellen said strict almost, but the smile on her face gave away her amusement, like the rest of the bar. Well except Sam and Dean, who were just confused about the new people and Ellen’s behaviour to them.
“Hey, it was just one Summers fault and that would be Jesse’s,” Dawn said, getting looks from most of the bar.
“Yeah and you falling over, was who’s fault?” Jesse said, smirking.
“Yours still. I wouldn't have run in here if you didn’t steal my phone and then fallen over. So it’s your fault.”
“I only did it because you were going to call that evil man,” Jesse said, as Ellen and the bar’s customers just sat back and watched the show.
“Uncle Bobby is not evil. Firstly who I call is not your business and secondly who taught you to swear,” Dawn said, getting parental by the minute as she took the phone from Jesse’s pocket into her jacket pocket.
Sam and Dean who had been watching bewildered were now interest at the word ‘Uncle Bobby’.
“Bobby,” Dean asked.
“Eh, shhh, I am doing punishment here,” Dawn said, pointing a finger at Dean then at Jesse who backed up a bit. “So who has been swearing with you? Was it Ash? It was Ash. Ash, get your butt in here. ASH!” Dawn said without waiting for an answer.
Ash walked in with his usual flannel shirt and hair, almost walking in his sleep and said,
“What? Closing time?”
Dawn turned to him and stared at him.
“What? What did I do?”
“You’ve been swearing in front of Jesse?” Dawn said, more of a statement then a question.
“No…well…..I,” Ash stuttered, making Dawn angrier.
“Well…I…what?” Dawn said, doing an impression of Ash.
“Dawn, honey, erm… we are in a bar…with hunters, Jesse could have picked it up from anyone,” Ellen said, saving Ash from an ass-kicking.
“Ok, fine. Ash you’re off the hook, for now anyway,” Dawn said, turning to the brothers, while Ash mouthed a ‘thank you’ to Ellen who just nodded.
“Well, again this is embarrassing, sorry you had to see that,” Dawn said, and got a nod from the boys. “Well I am Dawn Summers and this bundle of fun is my son Jesse,” Dawn greeted, and put Jesse on the counter.
Sam and Dean literally had their mouths hanging as they both said,
“Oh here we go, yes he is my son. You two should listen more, honestly it comes in handy,” Dawn said while she winked at Jesse, who laughed.
